Public Buses into Salzburg City

  • The No. 2  bus runs daily every 15/20 minutes between Salzburg Main Station and the airport. Sundays and public holidays every 20 min. Journey time approx. 23 minutes.

  • The No. 10  bus (Mon-Sat) departs every 15 minutes from the airport to the city centre. Journey time approx. 15 minutes.

Tickets at the bus stop (machine) or directly from the bus driver. 

The Salzburg Card  is available at the Info-Center. It offers free entrance to most tourist attractions and free public transport in the city of Salzburg for 3 days.

Public Bus to Salzburger Land

Regional buses depart at Salzburg Main Station. The following buses depart the ÖBB Postbus stop in front of the airport terminal:

  • Postbus 260 runs from Salzburg Main Station to Salzburg Airport, Bad Reichenhall, Unken, Lofer (with connections to St. Johann i. Tirol and Kitzbühel on bus No. 4012), St. Martin, Weißbach, Saalfelden, Maishofen and Zell am See.

  • Bus No. 180 runs from Salzburg Main Station to Salzburg Airport, Wals, Grossgmain and Bad Reichenhall

  • Bus No. 270 runs from/to Salzburg Main Station, Salzburg Airport, Eben P+R (from 21.12.2024 to 19.04.2025 only on Saturday, six times a day)

Bus Connections to Tyrol

  • Postbus line 260 (3062) as far as Lofer, then change to bus 4012 running to St. Johann and Kitzbühel. Bus stop in front of airport terminal 1.

Bus Connections to Bavaria

  • Postbus 260 (3062) and 180 (3068) to Bad Reichenhall. Bus stop in front of the airport terminal 1.
  • Bus No. 840: takes approx. 45 min from Salzburg Main Station to Berchtesgaden Main Station.
  • Bus No. 9535 (Mozart Express): departing from Schloss Mirabell in Salzburg to Reit im Winkl, Ruhpolding, Inzell and Bad Reichenhall.
